Why WiPM Exists

Women in Performance Measurement (WiPM) is a global, volunteer-led community dedicated to advancing women across the investment performance, risk, analytics, and reporting professions.

Performance measurement is a highly technical discipline that plays a critical role in investor trust, governance, and decision-making—yet the professionals who do this work are often behind the scenes, and women in particular remain under-represented in senior leadership roles. WiPM exists to change that reality by building visibility, community, and opportunity.

We bring together women from across asset owners, asset managers, consultants, service providers, and technology firms to strengthen both individual careers and the performance profession as a whole.

Our Purpose

WiPM was founded on a simple idea. When women in performance measurement are connected, supported, and visible, the entire industry benefits.

Our purpose is to:

  • Create meaningful professional connections across firms, geographies, and career stages

  • Provide access to education, shared knowledge, and practical insight

  • Elevate the voices and accomplishments of women in technical performance roles

  • Support leadership development in a function that is critical—but often under-recognized

WiPM is not a networking club for networking’s sake. It is a community of performance professionals, grounded in technical excellence, collaboration, and mutual support.
